Norah sighed and looked at her watch he was 46 minutes late. That blew it man he'd been acting weird but this was werider he'd never stood her up. Sh ecried and leaned on the wall and stared at the Eiffel Tower the sign of romance was mocking her she looked up and tried to blink away tears this was terrible it had just been her 21st birthday a day ago. She cried even harder. She heard hurried foot steps and geof ran into her "oof" he cried out and hugged and kissed her reapetedly norah felt limp and betrayed. He stared at her and apoligzed he got held up at work he looked on the edge of tears. She thought other wise she could tell when people lied and this was a big lie her love was lie. She turned to him and sang
There'll be girls across the nation That will eat this up babe I know that it's your soul but could you bottle it up and Get down to the heart of it, No it's my heart you're **** out of your luck Don't make me tell you again my love love love love. Love love love love.
I am aiming to be somebody this somebody trusts With her delicate soul I don't claim to know much except soon as you start To make room for the parts That aren't you it gets harder to bloom in a garden of Love love love love Love Love love love
Only thing I ever could need, only one good thing Worth trying to be and it's
Love Love Love Love I do it for Love Love Love Love
We can understand the sentiment you're saying to us Oh, But sensible sells so could you kindly shut up And get started At keeping your part of the bargain aw please Little darlin' You're killing me sweetly with love love love love Love love love love
Only thing I ever could need only one good thing Worth trying to be and it's
Love Love Love Love I do it for Love Love Love Love
Started as a flicker meant to be a flame Skin has gotten thicker but it burns the same Still a baby in a cradle got to take my first fall Baby's getting next to nowhere with her back Against the wall. You meant to make me happy make me sad. Want to make it better better so bad. But save your resolutions for your never new year There is only one solution I can see here.
Love you're all I ever could need only one good thing Worth trying to be and it's Love Love Love Love I do it for love, love, love, love Oh, only gonna get get what you give away, So give love, love Only gonna get get what you give away Love.
norah cried and ran into the tower when geof stood there she looked back as he stood there it looked like she'd took his heart when she ran away. he walked toward norah slowly and when he reached her she looked away he got on one knee."Norah Golightly i was acting weird because i want to marry you. i want to love and hold you for the rest of eternity. marry me?" norah fell onto the ground and cried more and kissed him and murmmed "yes." he picked her up and carried her into a cab.
Leslie was trailing after Mellie in the small house in London they shared. They were both 20 at the time. "Mels, I said I was sorry!" she said. "It wasn't my fault!" "Shut your mouth, Leslie. I don't care! 'Sorry' won't get me my fiancee back, hm? You can have him! You do so enjoy kissing him so much," Mellie said. "But he kissed me! He wasn't worth it. He can't even tell us apart," Leslie pointed out. "Shut up!!! I don't care! Just get out of my sight!" She turned to her twin sister and sang:
"I thought that I could always count on you, I thought that nothing could come between us two."
Then Leslie jumped in and sang, "We said as long as we would stick together, Wed be alright, Wed be ok." She wanted to remind her sister that they made that oath when they were 10.
"But I was stupid And you broke me down Ill never be the same again," sang Mellie.
"So thank you for showing me, That best friends can not be trusted, And thank you for lying to me, Your friendship, the good times we had- you can have them back
Yeah!
I wonder why it always has to hurt, For every lesson that you have to learn. I wont forget what you did to me, How you showed me things I wish Id never seen.
But I was stupid, And you broke me down, Ill never be the same again.
So thank you for showing me, That best friends can not be trusted, And thank you for lying to me, Your friendship the good times we had you can have them back." Leslie was enraged and sad. She sang:
"When the tables turn again, Youll remember me my friend, Youll be wishing I was there for you.
Ill be the one you miss the most, But youll only find my ghost. As time goes by, Youll wonder why, Youre all alone.
So thank you for showing me, That best friends can not be trusted, And thank you for lying to me, Your friendship, the good times we had you can have them back."
"So thank you"(Leslie) - "for lying to me"(Mellie) So thank you - for all the times you let me down So thank you - for lying to me," Then they both sang: "So thank you - your friendship you can have it back"
They both threw their arms in the air on the last line, and Leslie stormed off into her room, slamming the door behind her. She hates me...Mellie hates me. That went through her mind a few times before she broke down and cried, which she never did unless she was utterly heartbroken. Her twin sister, she believed, hated her. She felt empty inside. She and her sister had stucj together through thick and thin no matter what their whole lives.

Oh dear...a muggle just bicycled past my house. How odd.
Snow fell on the streets of hogsmeade. A beggar woman, Finn Edisons dying mother, crooned about. Finn huddled underneath a blanket, Scraps of cloth missing from his thin trousers and long jacket. A plaid scarf decorated his neck- he shared it with a stranger, another homeless child... One beggar played a sorrowfull swell on his guitar.
"I once knew a girl In the years of my youth With eyes like the summer-" Finn touched his eyes as he sang. "-All beauty and truth... In the morning I fled Left a note and it read-" He recalled the sorrowfull memory.
" 'Someday you will be loved...' " Heads turned down the narrow alleyway, other beggars picking up their makeshift instuments. "I cannot pretend that I felt any regret." The child he was huddled with looked up at him, idolizing the singing stranger who shared his blanket. "Cause each broken heart will eventually mend..." A smaller child's thin frame held out their jacket to Finn. "As the blood runs red down the needle and thread..." He patched the jacket, slowly stitching. " 'Someday you will be loved' "
"You'll be loved, you'll be loved!" The hobo's had banded together, playing their rusty instuments in harrmony. "Like you never have known The memories of me Will seem more like bad dreams." Finn shut his eyes, leaning back to press his brown hair to the brick. "Just a series of blurs Like I never occurred."
" 'Someday you will be loved' "
"You may feel alone when you're falling asleep..." He stoked the child's hair. She leaned her head on his shoulder. "And everytime tears roll down your cheeks" Finn whiped a tear from the childs face, coming out a slight brown from the dirt there. "But I know your heart belongs to someone you've yet to meet." " And 'Someday you will...be loved' "
"You'll be loved, you'll be loved! Like you never have known." A few people dropped coins into the constant donation can, clinking noised harmonizing with the chorus. "And all the memories of me Will seem more like bad dreams Just a series of blurs Like I never occurred 'Someday you will be loved!'"
The orchistra exploded into a short solo, a chaotic peice...
"You'll be loved you'll be loved... Like you never have known The memories of me Will seem more like bad dreams Just a series of blurs Like I never occurred..."
" 'Someday you will be loved...' "
Slowly, the beggars began to settle. Snow still fell into the alleyway, illumanating the starving inhabitants. Finn leaned back into his thin blanket. The child had fallen asleep, now peacefully dreaming.
'Someday you will...
...be loved.'
Finn singing about Heather. yeah, this actualy happened. He left her after meeting her in the middle of the night. She never saw his face. They had exchanged letters for a long time, but he thought he was no good for her... He's poor. So yeah. He ACTUALY left her a note that said "someday you will be loved." Even though he loved her. AWWWW
Finn's cold hands reached Heather's face. He traced her jawline as she stared into the endless blackness...They couldn't see eachother in the midnight. Heather's mind swelled with emotion. The man she loved was right infront of her after all of these months waiting. "how can you see into my eyes like open doors...?" She sang suddenly. "leading you down into my core where Ive become so numb..." She sat up, leaving her place in the grass. "without a soul my spirit sleeping somewhere cold... until you find it there and lead it back home"
"Wake me up!" Finn sang. "Wake me up inside!" Heather continued. "I cant wake up!" "Wake me up inside!" "Save me..." "Call my name and save me from the dark!" "Wake me up" "bid my blood to run" "I cant wake up" "before I come undone" "Save me..." "save me from the nothing Ive become..."
Heather stood up, dancing etherialy in the dark. "now that I know what Im without you can't just leave me..." Finn caught her wrists. "breathe into me and make me real... bring me to life..." She rested her forehead on his chin. "Wake me up" Finn sang. "Wake me up inside!" "I cant wake up" "Wake me up inside!" "Save me..." "call my name and save me from the dark..." "Wake me up!" "bid my blood to run!" "I cant wake up..." "before I come undone" "Save me..." "save me from the nothing Ive become!" She was praticaly yelling in his face. Heather broke away, walking back into the tall grass. "Bring me to life..." Heather sang. Finn sang from behind her. "I've been living a lie, there's nothing inside..." "Bring me to life...!"
Suddenly, heather felt a presence beside her. "frozen inside without your touch without your love darling, only you are the life among the dead!" She sang. Finn was closer now.
"all this time I can't believe I couldn't see... kept in the dark but you were there in front of me!" He sang. "Ive been sleeping a thousand years it seems got to open my eyes to everything!" Heather reached out to him in the pitch night. "without a thought without a voice without a soul" "don't let me die here..." She sang in return.
"there must be something more." Finn sang beside her.
"Bring me to life!"
"Wake me up" "Wake me up inside!" "I cant wake up!" "Wake me up inside!" "Save me" "call my name and save me from the dark!" "Wake me up!" "bid my blood to run!" "I cant wake up" "before I come undone!" "Save me" "save me from the nothing Ive become" "Bring me to life" Heather found his wrist. They held hands, singing together. "Ive been living a lie, theres nothing inside..." "Bring me to life..........!" Heather sang the last note for a long time, the last sound to the totaly silent castle.
Heather Rigby was fishing through some of her old stuff, picking up a stack of papers. Her attic's musty odor was filled with the fimiliar smell of pumpkin juice and ole parchment- Hogwarts. "ooo..." She picked up a peice of paper.someday you will be loved It read. heather sighed, remanicing about the man who broke her heart. "Now that it's all said and done, I can't believe you were the one To build me up and tear me down..." she shifted to stand. "Like an old abandoned house." She slowly placed the lid back on the box. "What you said when you left Just left me cold and out of breath. I fell too far, was in way too deep..."
"Guess I let you get the best of me!" "Well, I never saw it coming! I should've started running A long, long time ago!" Heather sang into the empty space, sunlight illumanating the stirred dust. "And I never thought I'd doubt you, I'm better off without you!" She crumpled the last note like she had millions of times. "More than you, more than you know!" She started heading out. "I'm slowly getting closure! I guess it's really over! I'm finally getting better! And now I'm picking up the pieces! I'm spending all of these years Putting my heart back together..." She steped down her stairs, totaly alone. "'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through, I got over you!" Heather let the paper fall from her hands as she leaned against her doorframe. "You took a hammer to these walls, Dragged the memories down the hall," She gestured down her hall, "Packed your bags and walked away..." "There was nothing I could say. And when you slammed the front door shut, A lot of others opened up, So did my eyes so I could see..." "That you never were the best for me!" She ran off to her kitchen, leanig over her sink. The black mascara ran down her face as she cried. "Well, I never saw it coming. I should've started running A long, long time ago!" "And I never thought I'd doubt you, I'm better off without you More than you, more than you know!" She ran back to her living room, colapsing on the floor. "I'm slowly getting closure. I guess it's really over. I'm finally getting better. And now I'm picking up the pieces. I'm spending all of these years..." Putting my heart back together!" Heather clutched her chest, fighting away the memories. "'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through, I got over you!" She lit the firplace, poking the wood.
"'Cause I got over you..."
Heather grabbed the box of letters, slowly marching downstaris again. "Well I got over you..."
She leaned by the fire... "I got over you..."
Heather griped the first letter in her cold hands. "'Cause the day I thought I'd never get through..."
(a few sorrowful hours later) Sparta, the old barn owl flew through the open window. She dropped a package with a note on Leslie's stomach. She read it, and it was from her best friend from school, Josh. It read:
Leslie- Get dressed and meet me outside. ~Josh
Leslie smiled for the first time that day. She missed Josh, and she hadn't seen him in a long time. She changed into a black sweater with Stong Bad on it and a pair of dark jeans with a large flair. She passed her sister's bedroom door and frowned. She kept moving, and she went outside. She saw Josh holding a single tiger lily, which was, he knew, her favourite kind of flower. She threw her arms around him, and squealed with delight. "I missed you so much!" she said. "I missed you too," he said, pulling away and handing her the flower. She smiled at him. "Thanks," she said, gazing up at him. "Why did you want to see me? It's nearly 10:00." He laughed. "Not for us, Leslie. It's nine in the afternoon. When I see you, my own special setting takes place. Just for you." Her eyes became wider. "Oh. Ok," she breathed. He laughed again. He started singing:
"Back to the street where we began Feeling as good as lovers can, you know Yeah we're feeling so good
Pickin up things we shouldnt read It looks like the end of history as we know Its just the end of the world"
The neighbors all poked their heads out of the houses, and they entered the street. They started dancing, and Josh took Leslie's hand and led her into the middle of the crowd.
"Back to the street where we began Feeling as good as love, you could, you can
Into a place where thoughts can bloom Into a room where it's nine in the afternoon And we know that it could be And we know that it should And you know that you feel it too 'Cause it's nine in the afternoon"
He twirled her around, then pulled her up to his chest. She was wide-eyed. He smiled and continued, "And your eyes are the size of the moon You could 'cause you can so you do We're feeling so good just the way that we do When it's nine in the afternoon
Your eyes are the size of the moon You could 'cause you can so you do We're feeling so good
Back to the street Down to our feet Losing the feeling of feeling unique Do you know what I mean?
Back to the place Where we used to say Man it feels good to feel this way Now I know what I mean"
She understood what he was trying to say now. She had been oblivious before, but now she understood. He was saying the he was in love with her.
"Back to the street, back to the place, Back to the room where it all began, hey Back to the room where it all began 'Cause it's nine in the afternoon
Your eyes are the size of the moon You could 'cause you can so you do We're feeling so good Just the way that we do When it's nine in the afternoon"
The crowd cleared out, leaving only Leslie and Josh in the middle of where it had all taken place. He put her hand behind her head and brought her lips to his briefly. He smiled at her again. "I love you, Leslie. I always have. I'm sorry it took me this long to let you know," he said. "It was worth it," she said, raising and eyebrow. "I really was. I love you too, Josh."

Mellie sat at the table eating scrambled eggs. Leslie walked in and got some yogurt. She was extra happy about Josh, and she dropped the yogurt on the floor in her excitement, and Mellie was still sore about her ex-fiance kissing her twin sister on accident. "Klutz," she said, rolling her eyes. "Shut up," LEslie said. She cleaned up the yogurt with a flick of her wand. "Hm," Mellie said, continuing her eggs. "Leslie the Klutz. As always." Leslie turned her head around and dance for a few beats. She flung her arms out to the sides and sung:
"There you go You're always so right It's all a big show It's all about you You think you know What everyone needs You always take time to criticize me It seems like everyday I make mistakes I just can't get it right It's like I'm the one you love to hate But not today.
So shut up shut up shut up Don't wanna hear it Get out get out get out Get out of my way Step up step up step up You'll never stop me Nothing you say today is gonna bring me down
there you go You never ask why It's all a big lie Whatever you do." Mellie cut in, standing up and dancing: "You think you're special But I know and I know and I know And we know that you're not."
Leslie rolled her eyes and scoffed. She continued:
"You're always there to point out my mistakes And shove them in my face It's like I'm the one you love to hate But not today.
So shut up shut up shut up Don't wanna hear it Get out get out get out Get out of my way Step up step up step up You'll never stop me Nothing you say today is gonna bring me down Gonna bring me down. Don't tell me who I should be Don't try to tell me what's right for me Don't tell me what I should do I don't want to waste my time I'll watch you fade away
So shut up shut up shut up Don't wanna hear it Get out get out get out Get out of my way Step up step up step up You'll never stop me Nothing you say today is gonna me down
I don't wanna hear it Get out get out Get out of my way Step up step up You'll never stop me Nothing you say today is bring me down Won't bring me down Won't bring me down Bring me down Won't bring me down Shut up shut up"
She got another container of strawberry-banana and ate it on the porch steps. Sparta came flying over with a letter.
Leslie~ Meet me at the Kay's. I need something for my mom. -Josh She was confused. Since when do you buy things for your mother at Kay's? she wondered. She apparated there anyway, and she met him there. "Hi," she said, hugging him. "Hey." They stood just outside the building. "Alright, so, let's get your mother her gift...." She walked in, and the lights were shut off. She bunped into a wall. "Gaugh, oh shoot," she said. "It's dark in here. Lumos." The tip of her wand lit, and everything was covered with tarps. The lights flipped on. "...Nox," she said. Josh grabbed her hand and smiled. "Pick one," he insisted, and the tarps lifted from the cases, revealing diamond rings and whatnot. "You get to pic out the engagement ring," he said. Leslie choked. "Leslie..." he slid onto one knee. "Leslie O' Macky. Will you marry me?" "A-are you sure? I mean, if you're not sure, I can just....." he waited. He was sure, and he was beaming. "YES, YES!" she squealed.

Aimee watched Eddy recording from behind the glass. He was trying so hard to produce a hit...
"Dangit..." Eddy emerged from the small room. "I don't know, Aim's, I write all of these songs about you, but..." He held her hands, looking deeply into her eyes. "I just can't put it all into words." (beat starts) "Hurry up" Aimee sang. "...and wait..." "So close, but so far away." Eddy looked confused. "Everything that you've always dreamed of Close enough for you to taste... But you just can't touch." "You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet. Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it.." Eddy let go, walking out of the studio. "You know you can if you get the chance..." Aimee tried to follow him, only to be cut off by a producer. "In your face as the door keeps slamming!" She pushed past to cathc up. Eddys eyes where looking at the floor. "Now you're feeling more and more frustrated... And you're getting all kind of impatient..."
"waiting..." Aimee grabed his wrists, turning him to face her. "We live and we learn to take One step at a time... There's no need to rush It's like learning to fly..." Aimee leaned in closer. Or falling in love." Eddy kissed her quickly, then turned to leave. It's gonna happen and it's supposed to happen that we find the reasons why..." Eddy closed the glass door behind him, heading out into the streets. "One step at a time..." "You believe and you doubt... You're confused, you got it all figured out..." She followed him- the cold nights air knocked her back. "Everything that you always wished for- Could be yours, should be yours, would be yours... If they only knew." She stopped walking, looking at his back as he walked away. You wanna show the world, but no one knows your name yet... Wonder when and where and how you're gonna make it..." "You know you can if you get the chance In your face as the door keeps slamming!" She started to walk after him. "Now you're feeling more and more frustrated And you're getting all kind of impatient waiting..." Aimee caught up with him, jumping on his back. He fell down laughing. "Aim'!"
"We live and we learn to take One step at a time..." Eddy fliped over, pushing Aimee off. "There's no need to rush." She sang sympatheticly. "It's like learning to fly..." She was suddenly lifted off of the ground, Eddy helping her up. "Or falling in love." Aimee hugged him close.
"It's gonna happen and it's Supposed to happen that we Find the reasons why..." She sang into Eddy's shoulder. "One step at a time." Suddenly, Eddy bolted down the street. "Hey!" Aimee called. He laughed and turned the corner. "When you can't wait any longer... But there's no end in sight! when you need to find the strength... It's the faith that makes you stronger!" Aimee started to run after him. "The only way you get there... Is one step at a-" She stopped at the street corner. "time..."
OH GOD. I SWORE I WOULD NEVER USE THIS SONG. OH GOD. I HATE THIS SONG. OH GOD.
___
Aimee reached to the phone just a few momnets before it rang. Her appartment was dingy... but at least she could talk to Eddy. Eddy Fisher, her husband, was visiting a producer who might sign him. "Hello?" Aimee said to fast when she picked up the phone. "Hey Babe." It was Eddy on the other line. "It's so good to hear your voice..." Aimee whispered. "Dido, Aim's...I miss you so much..." Eddy whispered back over the phone. (Guitar starts OH GOD)
"Hey there Delilah What's it like in New York City? I'm a thousand miles away But girl, tonight you look so pretty..." Eddy sang. Yes you do." Times Square can't shine as bright as you I swear it's true..." Aimee laughed a bit in embarasment.
"Hey there Delilah(OH GOD), Don't you worry about the distance I'm right there if you get lonely. Give this song another listen... Close your eyes..." Aimee did as told, savoring every note. Listen to my voice, it's my disguise." I'm by your side..." Eddy Fisher was right in front of her, taking her hand. She wore a white wedding dress... When Aimee open her eyes again, she was sitting on a ratty couch in a ratty appartment. "Oh it's what you do to me... Oh it's what you do to me." Aimee shed a tear. If only he was there... "Oh it's what you(OH GOD)do to me... Oh it's what you do to me. What you do to me." Eddy sang.
"I gotta go, love." Click. Aimee was alone agin in the appartment.
The next day, she had a message on her phone.
"Hey there Delilah.... I know times are getting hard But just believe me, girl Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar... We'll have it good, We'll have the life we knew we would My word is good..."
The phone rang, and she picked it up before it could finish. "Eddy!" Aimee said breathlessly.
"Hey there Delilah" Eddy sang. I've got so much left to say If every simple song I wrote to you Would take your breath away I'd write it all Even more in love with me you'd fall We'd have it all..."
"Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me...."
Aimee cracked. "Eddy, come home! I miss you, Eddy..." She sobbed. In his hotel room, Eddy's face became pained as he sang. "A thousand miles seems pretty far, But they've got planes and trains and cars, I'd walk to you if I had no other way!" Aimee perked up. Our friends would all make fun of us and we'll just laugh along because we know That none of them have felt this way..." Eddy sang the truth. back at hogwarts, the other students teased them about how Eddy wasn't good for the sweet inocent Aimee... "Delilah I can promise you That by the time we get through The world will never ever be the same!" And you're to blame..." Aimee sobbed again at Eddy's voice. "I...I gotta go... love you..." She hung up the phone and sobbed openly about how far she was from her love. Stupid art school. Stupid distance. Stupid record deals.
The next day, Aimee awoke to Eddy's voice. She opened her eyes.. Eddy stood at her bedside, stroking her hair. "Hey there Delilah You be good and don't you miss me." "Two more years and you'll be done with school And I'll be making history like I do... You'll know it's all because of you." We can do whatever we want to... Hey there Delilah here's to you... This one's for you." He sang.
"Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me Oh it's what you do to me What you do to me..."
She sat up, and Eddy was gone. Aimee was all alone and now, fully out of her silly wishfull dreams.
OH GOD that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... Well, I'm sure you've herd Hey there Delilah. I hate that song! I think...I think I might like it now, though... OH GOD.
Heather left the bar, heels splashing in the puddle. "Bye Norah!" She called. A muffle bye came from inside... Heather waited by the road, waiting for someone to pick her up. Every night, she waited a bit for maybe, just maybe, Finn Edison to drive by and maybe, just maybe recognize her, and maybe, just maybe, scoop her up and drive off with her. Silly...She told herself. "I'm standing on a bridge... I'm waiting in the dark... I thought that you'd be here by now..." Heather started to walk to her house, singing. "There's nothing but the rain No footsteps on the ground I'm listening but there's no sound..." Her apartment was about one or two blocks away, but now, it seemed like a thousand miles. ((OH SNAP MUSICAL IDEA)) "Isn't anyone tryin to find me? Won't somebody come take me home...?" She felt her foot sink into a flooded pothole. She withdrew it immediatly, groaning. "It's a damp cold night... Trying to figure out this life!" She sang, walking again. "Won't you-" She spun around in the street. "-take me by the hand, Take me somewhere new..." She stopped, then looked to the sky. "I don't know who you are, But I... I'm with you..." I'm with you..."
She turned the corner, not making eye contact with the gangs in the alleys. Finn...I She thought. Oh, Finn... If he was here, she wouldn't be walking home. She wouldn't work at a bar or live in the city, she would just...just be so happy... "I'm looking for a place..."She serched for the street sign. Surely she couldn't be lost? A car passed- she gazed at the driver. No, still not Finn. "I'm searching for a face Is anybody here I know...?" She began walking again, pulling out a cigg'. She lit it swiflty. "'Cause nothing's going right..." She spun. And everything's a mess..." She threw her arms into the air, suffecently flicking off the ashes. "And no one likes to be alone!" "Isn't anyone trying to find me?" She looked at the ground. Won't somebody come take me home?" Heather dropped the Ciggarette. "It's a damp cold night... Trying to figure out this life... Won't you-" She stopped at the corner, taking a young hobo's hands. He gazed at her with what she thought to be recognition... "take me by the hand, take me somewhere new... I don't know who you are, but I..."
"I'm with you." She let go, turning the corner. "I'm with you..." "Oh why is everything so confusing?" She sang... little did she know, Finn sang around the corner. They harmonized beautifully. "Maybe I'm just out of my mind!" Heather wondered why she heard Finn... "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah....!" she shook off the feeling that she was being watched, walking fast down the street. "It's a damp cold night..." She sang quietly. "Trying to figure out this life... Won't you-"
"take me by the hand take me somewhere new?!" Heather sang louder, I don't know who you are, but I...
I'm with you... I'm with you..."
She finaly found her apartment complex. Heather walked up the flights of stairs, singing. "Take me by the hand take me somewhere new... I don't know who you are... But I..." "I'm with you!" She sang, even louder, leaning against her appartments outer wall. I'm with you! I'm with you..."
Heather finaly entered her appartment, checking the voice mail. Beep. "Is this the residence of Heather Rigby...? It's Finn Edison... I've moved from hogsmeade to...well, it doesn't matter..."
______________________________ Jasper and Cypress were sitting on a bench in Hogsmeade, blending in with the crowd. Skyra passed, looking for Cypress. She was dressed rather preppily. It annoyed the heck out of Jasper. He rested his chin in his hand and looked at her, bored. In a monotone, he began:
I think she's an Uptown girl...
Yeah, Cypress agreed. Jasper continued, sounding so bored out of his mind.
She's been living in her uptown world
Cypress took over for a minute.
She's been living in her white bread world As long as anyone with hot blood can And now she's looking for a downtown man
He laughed then. "Cy, that would be you." That earned him a glare. The monotonous chanting was continued. The pair was utterly uninterested in anything at the moment.
You know I've seen her in her uptown world She's getting tired of her high class toys And all her presents from her uptown boys She's got a choice
Cypress' expression turned sour and he continued sarcastically,
And when she's walking She's looking so fine And when she's talking She'll say that she's mine
He moaned at the thought as Jasper laughed at him. He said the chorus-thingy.
She's been living in her white bread world As long as anyone with hot blood can And now she's looking for a downtown man
Uptown girl In her uptown world She's an uptown girl
Heather had just gotten off of work, early. Way early... It was days like this that she thought of him more than ever. (Piano starts) If only... she would walk a thousand miles, just to see him...
"Makin' my way downtown, walkin' fast, faces pass and I'm homebound." Heather sang. Her black dress swished at her side. "Starin' blankly ahead," She looked up. "Just makin' my way, Makin' a way through the crowd..." She pushed through yet another gang. She turn a sharp corner, looking at a glass office door. It showed her mutated reflection. "And I need you" She pushed aginst it, rushing downthe street. "And I miss you" She skipped. And now I wonder..." Heather stopped, thinking of Finn.
"If I could fall into the sky," She began walking again. Do you think time would pass me by?" 'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles!" She ran a few steps, wishing that she realy could bring Finn back. "If I could just see you... Tonight." She sang solomly. Heather spotted a bench, leaning against a street lamp neerby. "It's always times like these When I think of you, And wonder if you ever think of me..." She sang. She was a vochalist by profession, but now her voice was pained. "'Cause everything's so wrong and I don't belong. livin' in your precious memory..." Heather slid to the bench. "'Cause I need you..." Kids dashed by, a couple on a bike. And I miss you..." She looked up from the ground, gazing blankly across the street. "And now I wonder..." Heather stood up, pacing down the street. "If I could fall into the sky...do you think time would pass me by?" She 'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles If I could just see you... Tonight!" Heather reached her apartment complex, rushing up the stairs.
"I, I, don't wanna let you know!" She crouched aginst a corner. I, I, drown in your memory! I, I, don't wanna let this go! I, I, don't..." She sang. Heather reached her appartment, unlocking it. "Makin' my way downtown..." She dropped her bag on the cheep carpet. "Walkin' fast, Faces pass and I'm homebound..." "Starin' blankly ahead, just makin' my way, makin' a way through the crowd."
Heather started to tear, thinking of the summers she spent sending him letters... but one night, that was what she had gotten. "And I still need you. And I still miss you. And now I wonder..." She colapsed on her dinky couch, crying through the song. "If I could fall into the sky, Do you think time Would pass...us by? 'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles If I could just see you..." Heather stood up, whiping her eyes. "oh oh..." She clenched her hands. "If I could fall into the sky, do you think time would pass me by? 'Cause you know I'd walk a thousand miles If I could just see you..."
She opened her eyes. "If I could just hold you..." Heather slid back down onto the couch, closing them again. "Tonight..."

Sounds like Heather too. In the voice. Vanessa Carlton, that is.
Martha's idiot-of-a-son walked behind Lucy. He poked her in the back. She turned, glaring. "What?" she asked. "SOooooo.... what did you and Morgan Griffith do over the summer?" he asked, sneering. "Hmm... well, he came over for Christmas dinner, then we went swimming-" "Did you go skinn-" "NO! Gawd, you're such a perv." she said. "Then we ate some o' Alore's cinnamon buns-" "Is that some sort of metaphore?" "No." she replied, looking annoyed. "Then we talked-" "About marriage?" "No.... you're stupid." "Then, do you wanna go out?" he asked, as they walked down the hall of the train. "No, I did not do that with him either- wait, what?" she said with a confused look. "Well, see, you remind me of someone.... and, well...." he trailed off, looking sad. A beat started, as she glared at him. "And that's the only reason? That's sick..."
Let me hear you say hey hey hey Alright Now let me hear you say hey hey ho :coffeepot:
I hate it when a guy doesn't get the door
She opened a random compartment door, and walked through, getting the people inside to follow her back out into the hall.
Even though I told him yesterday and the day before
She jerked her thumb over her shoulder, and spun on the spot, pointing at the guy who's name we did not bother to make up.
I hate it when a guy doesn't get the tab
She mimicked opening a wallet.
And I have to pull my money out and that looks bad
Where are the hopes,
She put her hands over her heart.
where are the dreams
Her hands went to her head.
My Cinderella story scene When do you think they'll finally see
She pointed to her eyes.
That you're not not not gonna get any better
She shook her head back and forth.
You won't won't won't you won't get rid of me never
She shook her finger in his direction.
Like it or not,
She held up her hands, like weighing something.
Even though she's a lot like me
She put her hand on her chest.
We're not the same
She shook her head.
And yeah yeah yeah I'm a lot to handle
She bobbed her head up and down.
You don't know trouble, I'm a h*** of a scandal Me, I'm a scene, I'm a drama queen
She held her hand and put it on her forehead, pretending to faint, then standing back up.
I'm the best d*** thing that your eyes have ever seen
She pointed at Martha's idiot.
Alright, alright Yeah
I hate it when a guy doesn't understand
She pointed to her head.
Why a certain time of month I don't wanna hold his hand I hate it when they go out, and we stay in
She jerked her thumb out, and swayed back.
And they come home smelling like their ex girlfriends
She crossed her fingers in an X.
I found my hopes, I found my dreams My Cinderella story scene Now everybody's gonna see
Give me an A (always give me what I want) Give me a V (be very very good to me) R (are you gonna treat me right) I (I can put up a fight) Give me an L (let me hear you scream loud)
One, two, three, four
She counted off her fingers.
Where are the hopes, where are the dreams My Cinderella story scene When do you think they'll finally see Let me hear you say hey hey hey Alright Now let me hear you say hey hey ho Hey hey hey Hey hey hey Hey hey hey I'm the best d*** thing that your eyes have ever seen!
She finished, and slammed the compartment door shut in his face.
Aimee shifted her hands. Eddy gripped hers in his as they stared out at the city. By coincidence, Aimme had met this 'Eddy Fisher' Lad on her london trip. He was a student at hogwarts, though she had never seen him- he was from some dinky town called Southern Pines in the US. He told her there was many Southern pines, though. She sighed. Eddy Fisher was amazing. He was in a band, he was really sweet, and suddenly, he broke out into song. "Just another one champion sound, yeah Estelle about to get down." He stood up, orange hat neon in the city lights. "who the hottest in the world right now?" He Turned around, spreading his arms wide. Aimee giggled. "Just touched down in London town, bet they give me a pound. Tell them put the money in my hand right now." He helped her up and tghey started pacing down the street. "Tell the promoter we need more seats, we just sold out all the floor seats!"
Aimee joined in. "Take me on a trip, I'd like to go some day!" She spun. Take me to New York, I'd love to see LA!" She cuped her hand around a street lamp, spining around. "I really want to-" Eddy caught her, her face inches from hers. "-come pick it with you...You'll be my American Boy." She gracefully swooned away, skipping down the street, leaving Eddy.
"He said, Hey Sister. It's really really nice to meet ya." She skipped over to a bystander. "I just met this 5 foot 7 guy who's just my type!" Aimee sang exitedly. "like the way he's speaking, his confidence is peaking..." She walked away as the bystander stared after her. "Don't like his baggy jeans but Ima like what's underneath them." She sang aloud. Eddy ran up to her, laughing. "And no I aint been to MIA, I heard that Cali never rains and New York's heart awaits!" She suggested things. "First let's see the west end. I'll show you to my bridren!" She stopped walking. "I'm like this-" She gestured to her heart. "-American Boy, American Boy!" They spun around the london streets.
Aimee blushed as she sang. "Take me on a trip, I'd like to go some day! Take me to New York, I'd love to see LA!" Eddy stoped, hesitatnly contemplating a kiss. "I really want to come pick it with you, You'll be my American Boy....American Boy!" Aimee broke away, skipping again around a corner. "Can we get away this weekend? Take me to Broadway..." The landscape transphormed, and suddenly they where in new york. They walked, arms linked. "Let's go shopping baby," She nodded to a store. "then we'll go to a Café!" Aimee nodded to the other side of the street. "Let's go on the subway!" She broke away, running down a subway stations stairs. Eddy ran after her. "Take me to your hood!" The station faded to an 50's style downtown district. They walked on train tract that separated the town. "I never been to Brooklyn and I'd like to see what's good..." The surroundings faded again, and they walked the brooklyn streets. "Dress in all your fancy clothes, sneaker's looking Fresh to Death," She looked to Eddys shoes. "I'm lovin those Shell Toes!" Aimee sang sarcasticly. "Walkin that walk... talk that slick talk...." She turned sudenly, and they where back in london. She kissed him quickly, then skipped down the street. "I'm likin this American Boy... American Boy."
Eddy follwed Aimee down another street. "Take me on a trip, I'd like to go some day! Take me to New York, I'd love to see LA! I really want to come pick it with you..." She turned again, and Eddy was right beside her. "You'll be my American Boy?" "let them know whats going on bud!"
Eddy struted beside her, singing now. "Who killin em in the U.K. ? Everybody gonna to say YOU K, reluctantly, cuz most of this press don't f*** with me!" Aimee laughed. "Estelle once said to me,-" They sang together. "cool down, down," "Don't act a fool now, now!" Aimee advised. "I always act a fool oww, oww." Eddy frowned at her, then laughed as she poked his side. "Aint nothing new now now!" He sang as she sped dwon the street. He crazy, I know what ya thinkin," He adressed the londeners. "Ribena, I know what you're drinkin!" He spun. "Rap singer, Chain Blinger, holla at the next chick soon as you're blinkin!" He caught up to Aimee. "What's you're persona?" Aimme sang along. "about this Americana?" Eddy laughed. "Brama, Am I shallow, cuz all my clothes designer..." He poked an aristocratic londen-dweller. "Dressed smart like a London Bloke, before he speak his suit bespoke!" He nodded to Aimee. "And you thought he was cute before" She rolled her eyes. "Look at this P Coat tell me he's broke." He looked at her reaprochably. And I know you're not into all that." Eddy hugged her. "I heard your lyrics I feel your spirit," She laughed again. Eddy walked down the street again. "But I still talk that CA-A-A-SH, Cuz a lot W.A.G.S wanna hear it. "And I'm feelin like Mike at his Baddest... "Like the Pips at they Gladest! "And I know they love it, " Eddy held her hand again. "So to hell with all that rubbish..."
Aimee turned to him, hugging him close as they danced around. "Would you be my love, my love, Would you be mine? Would you be my love, my love, Would you be mine? Could you be my love, my love? Would you be my American Boy?" She stopped dancing. "American Boy!"
"Take me on a trip, I'd like to go some day Take me to Chicago, San Francisco Bay. I really want to come pick it with you. You'll be my American Boy. American Boy..."
They walked down the street, slowly fading away to an unknown destination. "La,la,la,la,la,la,la La,la,la,la,la,la,la..."
Aimee sat on her bed. Yet another summer wasted on a stupid boyfriend. This one was "Jack". "Oi, Aimee..." Heather yelled across the hallway. "Where's my shirt you borrowed?" Aimee sighed. "I don't KNOW!" She yelled. Heather sighed in return. "You change your mind... Like a girl changes clothes." Heather danced around her room. "Yeah you, PMS like a bi**h!"She sang. "I would know!" Aimee growled in return. "And you over think... Always speak Crypticly!" Aimee sang.
"I should know..."Heather snaped. "That you're no good for me!" "Cause you'rehotthen you'recold," They sang from their beds. You're yes then you're no You're in then you're out You're up then you're down You're wrong when it's right It's black and it's white! We fight, we break up We kiss, we make up!"
Aimee sat up, hugging her stomach. (you)You don't really want to stay, no (but you)But you don't really want to go-o You're hot then you're cold You're yes then you're no You're in and you're out You're up and you're down
We used to be Just like twins So in sync The same energy Now's a dead battery Used to laugh bout nothing Now your plain boring
I should know that You're not gonna change
{CHORUS}
Someone call the doctor Got a case of a love bi-polar Stuck on a roller coaster Can't get off this ride
((whoo hoo! I love Katy Perry! Ok...I've got a song!))
Leslie and Josh walked to Leslie's house, hand in hand, now that she had her ring, and they stopped at the door. "I'll see you tomorrow. I have to go make things right with Mellie..." her voice trailed off. Oops. He wasn't supposed to find out about that. "What's wrong with Mellie?" he asked. "First, I have to know this. You can tell us apart, right?" LEslie asked. "Yes. Of course I can. You and her have two separate eprsonalities. She's always angry, and you're easily please. I've got a whole long line of differences," he answered. "Well...her ex couldn't, and he kissed me instead of her, and now she's m-mad at me," she stuttered, and then she cried. She and her sister had never fought till now. "Hey, don't cry," she said soothingly. He put her arms around her, and he sang:
Please just don't play with me My paper heart will bleed This wait for destiny won't do Be with me please I beseech you Simple things, that make you run away Catch you if I can... Leslie stopped crying and looked at him. She was trying her best not to cry again, but the tears wee traitors and kept sliding down her cheeks. He wiped them away, and he continued:
Tears fall, down your face The taste, is something new Something that I know moving on is, Easiest when I am around you.
So bottle up old love, And throw it out to sea, Watch it away as you cry A year has passed The seasons go He pulled out of the loose hug to hold both her hands. He stared into her drk eyes. Please just don't play with me My paper heart will bleed This wait for destiny won't do Be with me please I beseech you Simple things, that make you run away Catch you if I can
Waiting, day to day it goes through My lips, are sealed for her My tongue is, Tied to, a dream of being with you To settle for less, is not what I prefer
So bottle up old love, And throw it out to sea, Watch it away as you cry A year has passed The seasons go
Please just don't play with me My paper heart will bleed This wait for destiny won't do Be with me please I beseech you Simple things, that make you run away Catch you if I can
Summer time, the nights are so long The leaves fall down, and so do I into the arms of a friend Winter nights My bedside is cold, for I am gone And spring blossoms you to me
She picked up where he left off: Summer time, the nights they are so long The leaves fall down, and so do I into the arms of a friend She started to fall backwards, and he caught her. She turned around to face him. Winter nights My bedside is cold, for I am gone They both sang the last song in a melancholy line at the same time. And spring blossoms you... to me

Melllie sighed and stepped out of the house the back way so as to dodge her sister. She started walking to the closest park, and she saw her ex there. She stuck her hands in her pocket. A squealing girl ran up to him, and she kissed his on the cheek. She sighed and started walking random. She sang:
"I took the Polaroid down in my room I'm pretty sure you have a new girlfriend it's not as if I don't like you it just makes me sad whenever I see it 'cause I like to be gone most of the time and you like to be home most of the time if I stay in one place I lose my mind I'm a pretty impossible lady to be with
Joey never met a bike that he didn't wanna ride and I never met a Toby that I didn't like Scotty liked all of the books that I recommended even if he didn't I wouldn't be offended
I had a dream that had to drive to Madison to deliver a painting for some silly reason I took a wrong turn and ended up in Michigan Paul Baribeau took me to the giant tire swing gave me a push and he started singing I sang along while I was swinging the sound of our voices made us forget everything that had ever hurt our feelings
Joey never met a bike that he didn't wanna ride and I never met a Toby that I didn't like Scotty liked all of the books that I recommended even if he didn't I wouldn't be offended â¦wouldn't be offended
now I'm home for less than twenty-four hours that's hardly time to take a shower hug my family and take your picture off the wall check my email write a song and make a few phone calls before it's time to leave again I've got one hand on the steering wheel one waving out the window if I'm a spinster for the rest of my life my arms will keep me warm on cold and lonely nights
Joey never met a bike that he didn't wanna ride and I never met a Toby that I didn't like Scotty liked all of the books that I recommended even if he didn't I wouldn't be offended..."
She plopped down on a bench and put her elbows down on her knees and rested her head in her hands.

Oh dear...a muggle just bicycled past my house. How odd.
Melon stomped loudly out of the house. She had just yelled at Jasper! What had she done?! But, he never paid any attention to her at all. She would have understood if she had actually liked Jane that way, but he didn't, and yet, he was still totally indefferent to her. She walked to the pool, and checked that no one was around. She crossed the divider that was a bridge in the middle of the pool, where all the fountains were. She began to dance and sing.
Woo-who, yee-who Woo-who, yee-who she bent her hips, and snaped up, clapping her hands. Woo-who, yee-who Woo-who, yee-who
If I could escape I would, but first of all let me say she sang, holding up a finger. I must apologize for acting stank and treating you this way Cause I've been acting like sour milk all on the floor she stomped a foot. It's your fault you didn't shut the refrigerator Maybe that's the reason I've been acting so cold holding up her hands, she strutted quickly across the pool.
If I could escape (escape) And re-create a place that's my own world (own world) she twirled through the gardens. And I could be your favorite girl forever, perfectly together she clasped her hands. And tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet? (sweet escape)
If I could be sweet (be sweet) I know I've been a real bad girl (bad girl) she made a pitiful face. I didn't mean for you to get hurt Whatsoever, we can make it better shaking her hands in front of her, she turned around. And tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet? (sweet escape)
Woo-who, I wanna get away she leaned against a tree. Yee-who, (get away) Woo-who, To our sweet escape singing, she walked to the other side of the house, where the tenis court was. Yee-who, (sweet escape) Woo-who, I wanna get away she held the fence around the court. Yee-who, (get away) Woo-who, Ooh yeah Yee-who, (ooh yeah)
You melt me down I'm at my lowest boiling point she fell to the ground, putting her hands under her chin. Come help me out I need to get me out of this joint holding up a finger, she pretended to pout. Come on, let's bounce she jumped up. Counting on you to turn me around Instead of clowning around let's look for some common ground she touched the ground with her toes.
So baby, times gettin' a little crazy I've been gettin' a little lazy she yawned. Waiting for you to come save me I can see that you're angry folding her arms, she turned her head swiftly. By the way that you treat me Hopefully you don't leave me she walked out of the door to the courts. I want to take you with me she held out a hand.
If I could escape (escape) And re-create a place that's my own world (own world) she bounded around the house, looking happily at the plants. And I could be your favorite girl forever, perfectly together she leaned her head against the blass french doors to the porch. And tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet? (sweet escape)
If I could be sweet (be sweet) I know I've been a real bad girl (bad girl) she shook a finger, as if scolding. I didn't mean for you to get hurt Whatsoever, we can make it better she nodded her head. And tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet? (sweet escape)
Woo-who, yee-who Woo-who, yee-who If I could escape Woo-who, yee-who she opened the doors, and sat on the couch. Woo-who, yee-who If I could escape She turned her head upwards, looking at the fan. Woo-who, yee-who Woo-who, yee-who
Cause I've been acting like sour milk all on the floor getting back up, she shuffled playfully through the room. It's your fault you didn't shut the refrigerator Maybe that's the reason I've been acting so cold she spread her arms, spinning out the other door.
If I could escape (escape) And re-create a place that's my own world (own world) she slid down the banistter of the stairs to the pool. And I could be your favorite girl forever, perfectly together clasping her hands, her toes skimmed the water. And tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet? (sweet escape)
If I could be sweet (be sweet) I know I've been a real bad girl (bad girl) she shook her head, and shook a finger. I didn't mean for you to get hurt Whatsoever, we can make it better And tell me boy, now wouldn't that be sweet? (sweet escape)
Woo-who, I wanna get away she walked towards the diving board. Yee-who, (get away) Woo-who, To our sweet escape her toes lightly touched the granite that was the diving board. Yee-who, (sweet escape) Woo-who, I wanna get away Yee-who, (get away) Woo-who, Ooh yeah she bobbed up and down, and back and forth. Yee-who, (ooh yeah)
Woo-who, yee-who she smiled, shrugged, and jumped off the diving board. Woo-who, yee-who She hit the water, and bobbed back up. Her dress was so ruined.
Leslie had run through the house, and she was upset to find that he sister was nowhere to be found. Danny had gone home, and Leslie went to the park. She always went there when she was upset or depressed. She spotted her sister, who was fighting back screams of terror an anger at her ex, Scott. Leslie sat diwn next to her. "Hey," she muttered. "Hey," Mellie answered bitterly. Leslie looked into her eyes, and music started playing. She sang tapped her foot as she sang:
"Ive given up on giving up slowly, Im blending in so You wont even know me apart from this whole world that shares my fate This one last bullet you mention is my one last shot at redemption because I know to live you must give your life away And Ive been housing all this doubt and insecurity and Ive been locked inside that house all the while You hold the key And Ive been dying to get out and that might be the death of me And even though, theres no way in knowing where to go, promise Im going because I gotta get outta here Im stuck inside this rut that I fell into by mistake I gotta get outta here And Im begging You, Im begging You, Im begging You to be my escape.
Im giving up on doing this alone now Cause Ive failed and Im ready to be shown how Hes told me the way and Im trying to get there And this life sentence that Im serving I admit that Im every bit deserving But the beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair
Cause Ive been housing all this doubt and insecurity and Ive been locked inside that house all the while You hold the key And Ive been dying to get out and that might be the death of me And even though, theres no way in knowing where to go, promise Im going because I gotta get outta here Cause Im afraid that this complacency is something I cant shake I gotta get outta here And Im begging You, Im begging You, Im begging You to be my escape.
I am a hostage to my own humanity Self detained and forced to live in this mess Ive made And all Im asking is for You to do what You can with me But I cant ask You to give what You already gave
Cause Ive been housing all this doubt and insecurity and Ive been locked inside that house all the while you hold the key And Ive been dying to get out and that might be the death of me And even though, theres no way in knowing where to go, promise Im going because Ive gotta get outta here Im stuck inside this rut that I fell into by mistake Ive gotta get outta here And Im begging You, Im begging You, Im begging You to be my escape.
I fought You for so long I should have let You in Oh how we regret those things we do And all I was trying to do was save my own skin But so were You
So were You"
She stood up at the same time Mellie did. "I'm sorry," they said to each other in unison. They threw their arms around each other. "I'm so sorry," Mellie whispered.
